Attention:   Girls age 13 and up:  (born in 2003 or before)

In years past, there were 3 divisions for players age 13 and up:  Juniors (13-14), Seniors (15-16), and Big League (17-18).  Those age divisions were not hard and fast and the divisions overlapped.  Chet maintained Juniors as a separate division.  Seniors and Big League were combined from all parks in the District for regular season games and then separated for All-Stars teams based on age.  This was primarily due to fewer numbers at the upper levels

At the end of last season, Little League International eliminated the Big League division.  Little League now ends after age 16 (both softball and baseball).

District 11 will now be combining the Junior and Senior divisions very similarly to how Seniors and Bigs were combined in the past.  This division will be called Senior league for regular season games only.  For All-Stars, the girls will be separated by age and both a Junior All-Star team and a Senior All-Star team will be formed.   The Senior regular season will include girls from across the District so no team will be comprised of girls all from the same park.

                                              Girls Junior/Senior League Softball

The Girls Junior League Softball Division is a program for girls ages 13-14, using a conventional 60-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 43 feet. (A modified diamond is available during the regular season.)

The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 13-14-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Girls Senior League Softball Division), and the team may enter the International Tournament.

The culmination of the International Tournament is the Junior/Senior League Softball World Series, featuring teams from around the globe. All expenses for the teams advancing to the World Series (travel, meals and housing) are paid by Little League Baseball.
